ok now exactly like your story of woe except for all your tales of success against enormeous odds and the like.
ill start it off:
I was playing a 3-way game with Space marines, space marines and eldar. It was pretty much near the end of the game and i was getting absoulutly squashed beneath land raiders and wraithlords so i needed my terminators to deep strike ASAP. Finally they decided to show up and i deployed them near some eldar units and right next to a bunch of trees and the board edge. Firstly i rolled a hit on the scatter dice so they were safe! I then gunned down about 2/3 of the eldar squad with the storm bolters then next turn finished them off in combat. Then i consolidated towards some dark Reapers that were just killing everything this game.They fired at my terminators to no effect so i charged and killed them all! but i still lost the game cos i had no objectives!!!!!!!

i was playing game againts tau i had space marines 2 scout squods 2 sniper sqouds... the snipers were in each of my corners and on scout squod infiltrated in the middle and one iflitrated on the right flank.... the tau who were positiond in a building had to squods of fire warriors an two battle suits and 1 devil fish ..... i had first turn moved my scout squds "6" to the fire warriors they both rapid fired the fire warriors to hell and the to squads of snipers killed the to battle suits and devil fish my comander did nothing and i had won secound turn one the rest of the fleeing fire warriors were sniped ................ oh that was you igginator

Got a few great stories of success.
Teamed up with orcs, watched Ghazkull take 2 turnes worth of shooting from a black templar army, not take any wounds at all, then the rest of his orcs and my Word Bearer chaos marines cleaned up the entire board, with out loosing a single marine.
An everoseer assassin rushes into combat with 12 Word Bearer Chaos Marines, looses all his wounds, blows up and never cause any sort of damage, then that unit of marines goes on to slay 2 Zonithropes and wipe out a unit of ultra marines, one of my fav's.
4 way match, all on all, between my Word Bearers chaos marines, an army of daemons, nids and Ultra marines. personally responsible that day for whiping out that ultra marine army single handedly, then moving onto taking out last third of daemons (causing last wound on the skulltaker) then down to a one on one match between one single Chaos marine and one single gaunt.
Using Kharn the Betrayer in my Word Bearer force, to rush headlong into combat with a unit of Nugle aligened terminators, killing all 5 of them then running into Plague Marines. Kharn carved up a total of 17 single models befor suffereing any wounds.
These are a few of my fondest victories.

A few weeks ago my gaurd faced of agains some chaos marines. Chaos deployed all in cover, most in one building. I deployed heavy wepon teams (las cannons) to each flank, vendetta, special weapon teams and hq to the centre and 2 40 man troop squads on the right flank. I took out the defiler, rhino, 5 berserkers and a 10 man noise marine squad in my first turn. he moved a predator out from cover in his turn and did not manage to kill anything. My second turn saw marbo deploy into a building containinf a 5 man terminator squad and a hq, a demo charge took care of those terminators. the vendetta took out the predator easily as the 2 40 man troops unloaded well over 100 rounds into the remaining berserkers. Anhilating them. My hq and speacial weapons teams finished off the remainder of the units on the table, a hq and partial marine squad. Gaurd cleared the table in 2 turns with out taking any casualties.  |

here i got one when i was playing agenst marines with my eldar in a 400p game he lost nearly all his guys in the first 2 turn and i didnt even lose a single guy and i had gurdians!!
that was skill

it may or may not have been your first game and yes you were a beginer BUT !!!!!!!!! for an od reason you were highly educated in the rules and did not have to be shone or corrected in the rules in eny way and played a very good game and if it was not for your bad luck you may have survived another 2 turns exectara...................

Played in a 4 way match of Nids (me) tau, Space Wolves and eldar.
All of the smaller nids and carnifexes I had in army died, then swarmlord goes from squad to squad eating every single thing left on table. all other players were screaming and trying to team up to take it down, but it just wouldn't die! hahahahaha
